What is "Amazon Business"?

The Amazon Business Seller program allows you to enhance your product offerings to increase sales to only business clients. Although business clients can already buy your products on Amazon, the Amazon Business platform offers extra pricing options, business profiles, and brand development tools aimed at designed to reach these customers. Features like Business-only offers, Quantity pricing, and the ability to list credentials (like small business, veteran-owned business, ISO 9001) give Amazon Business sellers tools to leverage the Amazon marketplace in order to reach these business buyers.

The Amazon Business Seller Program includes tools that are only available to Amazon Business accounts. Amazon Business accounts can only be created by a registered business and they must be verified by Amazon. Sellers can offer these accounts a wide variety of business-only features, outlined below.


Business Pricing and Quantity Discounts

Pricing and payment features that simplify buying from you in larger quantities.

  • Business price: A discounted price available exclusively to Amazon Business customers regardless of the quantity purchased.
  • Quantity discount: Tiered discounts available exclusively to Amazon Business customers for higher-volume purchases.


B2B Product Opportunities (BPO)

Get personalized product recommendations based on customer demand signals. Amazon uses demand signals like purchasing trends, new product requests and requests for quantity discounts from their Amazon Business customer base coupled with your selling history to create product selection recommendations for you and your business. Currently, there are two B2B product opportunity reports available:

  • Recommended for you: Includes products that are in high demand from the categories or brands you are already selling in.
  • Products not yet on the Amazon store: Includes products requested by Amazon Business customers that may not be available on Amazon store


Business-Only Offers

The ability to offer products available only to business customers. There are a number of reasons to create business-only offers for registered Amazon Business customers:

  • You carry products with channel rights restrictions from the manufacturer, limiting sales to consumers
  • You carry fragile products that can break or fail without professional handling or installation
  • You carry specialty products that may injure the customer without professional handling or installation


Business-Only Selection

The ability to add offers to products designated by Amazon as business-only. The Business-Only Selection program allows only business buyers to buy certain products from certain categories. Products in the Business-Only Selection program may require special storage or handling and should not be purchased by consumers.


Enhanced Content

Enhanced product content, such as User Guides and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), can be uploaded for products that you offer in a number of categories.


Seller Credential Program

Claim quality, diversity and ownership credentials and certifications to distinguish your business to Amazon Business customers. You can view the list of certifications here.


Business Seller Profile​

Add additional business-relevant information to your profile such as enhanced logo, year established, business type, etc. These attributes are shown to business customers on your public profile page.


Business Reporting​

Access a number of reports, including data on when business customers place orders and how many businesses are buying from you.


B2B Central Homepage​

Amazon has also launched a new B2B Central Homepage which allows sellers to quickly view a variety of business metrics.
